Monsterama and Spy Con on Zoom

Most programming, presentations, and concerts will be held on Zoom. 

Individual Zoom links for each of these panels will be listed on the programming schedule. 

 

Once the panel begins, the host will allow people to enter into the room. Videos and screen sharing will be off by default, except for the host, panelists, or guests. 

 

You can use the Zoom chat to ask questions for the moderator or guest or you can join the track's Discord channel and talk to other attendees there or ask questions for the moderator or guest.

 

If you are unable to join Zoom, whether because the participant count is full. We are streaming live (there might be a minute delay) on Youtube and Twitch, which is going to be our overflow areas. Or you can just choose to watch the panel on those platforms. Questions for the moderator or guest won't be seen on Youtube or Twitch, please use Discord if you're unable to be on Zoom.

Zoom is free to use.

  • Zoom account or registration isn't necessary, but you will have to download the Zoom client on your PC or mobile device: https://zoom.us/download

How to Join a Zoom Meeting

You can either click on the link provided in the programming schedule. It will look something like this: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/1234567

or you can go to https://zoom.us/join and type in the Meeting ID that will be in the programming schedule.

How to Participate in Discussion

For panels within Zoom, participants will be defaulted to no video and muted. If you wish to ask a question during the panel, please click on Raise Hand located in the tool bar on Zoom. 

​

If the tool bar is not showing at the bottom of the Zoom window, place your cursor over the Zoom window so it appears and select the ‘Participants’ icon.

 

A window listing other participants will appear, there is also a ‘Raise Hand’ icon, click the icon to make it known to the Host that you would like to raise your hand.

 

If you wish to lower your hand, click the ‘Lower hand’ icon that will have replaced the ‘Raise hand’ icon.
